Component 2: Improve Faculty Skills “Student Success Series” Component 1: Improve Student Services ”Student Success Model” Component 3: Improve Technology forStudent Tracking “Online Student Profile” • Develop an expanded and improved model of student services for high risk students operating from student success centers established on each of 6 campuses • Develop a faculty training series to increase integration of student learning styles and student success strategies into teaching • Develop an online supplemental instruction tutoring program for developmental English and reading • Establish two new assessment instruments to determine student learning/cognitive styles, and personality types • Implement a comprehensive orientation course for all entering high risk students Improve Academic and Student Support Services for High Risk Students • Develop and implement an online student profile providing faculty and staff with access to demographic and performance data, student goals, and assessment results • Develop a predictive modeling/early warning program to identify students for intervention services

SUCCESS GAINS FOR OSP STUDENTS IN DEVELOPMENTAL COURSES
Ongoing Assessment Results Evidence of Success: 2004 – 2009: CPCC students enrolled in at least 2 developmental courses who participated in all components of the OSP system were: • 8.70% more likely to complete the courses in which they enrolled (both developmental and college-level) • 9.36% more likely to persist from spring to the subsequent fall term • 10.82% more likely to get A-C grades in their courses • 3.45% more likely to earn a college degree
Partners and Use of Funds • NCCCS Scaling up Partners: AB Tech, Fayetteville Tech, Forsyth Tech • League for Innovation: Lane CC (Eugene OR), Monroe CC (Rochester, NY), Moraine Valley CC (Palos Hills, IL) • NGLC funds paid for : • Project management • CPCC ITS development and implementation of OSP 2.0 at CPCC (complete); • ITS support of installation and operationalization of the OSP at all partner colleges (complete), • Two rounds of faculty and staff training activities for partners • Assessment (by our P&R area) of the project’s effectiveness.
