  4. What makes a monster scary? • Point out what makes this monster look mean! • What about him makes him look scary? His facial features? His color?

  5. What makes a monster look nice? • How is this monster different from the mean one? • What is the difference between the mouth, teeth, eyes and color?

  6. How do artists make a monster look nice? • How is this creature painted by Mark Ryden different from a big scary bear? • Which one would you like to meet in the Forest?

  7. What about the artist Takashi Murakami? His monsters look nice and mean at the same time! How does he do it?

  8. What kind of monsters can we make? • We are going to create a monster that is half mean and half nice! • Think about what makes a monster look good or bad. • Draw the outline of your monster and split it in half! One side will be good/nice while the other side is bad/mean!
