  2. The Career A Pediatric Nurse provide care to infants, children and adolescents. After graduating from nursing school (at a college, university, or hospital) with either an associate or bachelor's degree in nursing, they take an exam called the NCLEX to become licensed as a registered nurse (RN).

  3. Location This setting could be a hospital clinic, school, doctor's office, emergency room, hospital floor or intensive care unit.

  4. Hours Work • Depends if you are hired full time or part time. • If you are hired full time, it is most likely you will work whenever the office is open. • If you are hired part time it could be anywhere from 1-4 days a week depending on the Pediatricians you work for.

  5. Education Requirements Nursing Diploma Programs Associate Degrees in Nursing (ASN or ADN) Bachelor's Degrees in Nursing (BSN) Degrees in Nursing (BSN to MSN)
