Before • Form a group of 3 or 4 students- max 8 groups in a class. • Find a job advertisement suitable for fresh graduates (students must imagine that they have just graduated and will attend a job interview in 2015).
Before • For a group that consists of students from various faculties, you may apply for • different positions within the same organisation; OR • the same position which accepts qualifications from different fields. • Study the company profiling, take note on important information of the company. • Prepare a resume related to the job you are applying for.
Before • Upload the job advertisement you have chosen and your resume in your wikispaces by April 2nd, 2013. • Submit the job advertisement and a copy of a resume on April 3rd, 2013 in class. These should be compiled by the group leader.
On the day • Come 10 minutes before time. • Wear appropriate attire. • Bring a resume and relevant certificates in a clear folder (for your reference). • Bring your resume to be submitted to the interviewer. • Smile as you enter the interview room. • Greet the interviewer.
During the interview Hand in your clear folder to the interviewer. • Stage I • Individual feedback • 15 minutes • Stage II • Group discussion. • 10 minutes
Stage I • The interviewer will ask the first question and interviewees will take turn to answer the question. • After all the interviewees answer the first question, the interviewer will ask the second question and the interviewees will respond one by one. • Repeat the same process for the third question.
Stage II • Discuss different views on a topic given. • Ask relevant questions to seek clarification • Use sequence connectors • Keep the discussion going for 10 minutes. • State your stand: agree, disagree, etc. • Stop when the interviewer asks you to stop.
