  4. DOL-corrected • The book The Grapes of Wrath, is considered among the best of Steinbeck’s many novels. • There are several steps necessary to replace a damaged internal modem: first, eject the modem; second, de-install the software; then replace the broken modem with a new one.

AR-Due Sept. 24 • Do the following for your AR requirements: Each student must create a large "portrait" of one of the characters from the book just read. • A portrait doesn't have to be a picture, it could be a collage of things important to the character, or it could include you dressing like your character. Be creative. • The portrait should include a one page written piece that tells about the character. The written piece might include information about events, traits, or conflicts in the book that involve that character. • You must also include at least 5 quotes that show significant things about your character. See me if you need poster board.Be creative, have fun!!!!.

  6. Creativity assignment • Write a three-sentence paragraph using only the first half of the alphabet, letters A-L. (You may not use t, m, s, or any other letter that appears past L. This is where the challenge comes in.) Be prepared to share. 

  7. Example: • Jack liked a lake. He did feel a gale. He hiked back.

  8. Next • Do the same thing, but only use the last letters of the alphabet. M-Z.
