What are we Measuring with Eddy-Flux? • 3-Dimensional wind speed and direction • Incoming/outgoing radiation • CO2, O2, and H2O vapor concentration • Temperature • Relative Humidity • Precipitation Taken every 0.25 seconds! Atmospheric-vegetation interaction Climate change modeling Net Primary Productivity, Etc.

Instrumentation will provide an elevation transect from the rain dominated to snow dominated hydrologic regimes in Southern Sierra Nevada Current Site Location P301 tower in Kings River Experimental Watershed Proposed Tower Locations Soaproot Saddle Tower: 37° 1'51.85"N 119°15'23.15"W Courtwright Tower: 37° 3'59.75"N 118°59'18.51"W
Temporary base and Telescoping Tower Specifications The Heavy-Duty aluminum crank-up towers are designed to accommodate antennas with large wind surface areas up to 18sq.ft. and 125 lbs. of dead weight. These models will accommodate a large variety of commercially available rotors and a universal rotor plate is welded in place. This will allow a beam or other directional type antenna to be oriented. Telescoping towers are complete with a heavy duty 2” dia. X .125 wall x 8 ft. long mast, guy ears on each section, heavy-duty building bracket and tilt base. Model T-100H Approx Extended Height: 120 feet Weight: 400 lbs Power infrastructure similar to current P301 Tower. Tower will be T-120H or smaller
