Economic Benefits • 70% of all USA oil consumed is used for transportation. • By 2050 there is an estimated 1.5 billion cars on the road globally compared to 750 million in 2010. • Rising middle class in China and India causing demand in passenger cars to balloon and with it the demand for oil. • Oil is limited resource and not renewable. • EV typically charges at night, when electricity is cheapest to generate.
