  1. DO NOW:1. Take out your handout from the last class.2. Copy these definitions on to the top of your new handout.Anchor points: the points on a shape or object that you can select with the white selection tool to change the form.Swatches: the small color boxes that appear in the program Illustrator. This is the proper graphic design word to use when speaking about color.Pathfinder: the tool which allows you to combine two shapes together, cut out the negative or positive space, or change the shape completely.Pen tool: the tool which allows you to remove or add anchor points to adjust a shape.

  3. Time to Practice • Everything I showed you is on your handouts. • Please be patient. I will come to help you as soon as I can. • You will be using these tools this week for our first mini project in Illustrator. • Practice and experiment with the tools. This is the best way to get good at using them. • Be patient.
