Teachers We hope all students love our horizon teachers Mrs. Cox, Mrs. Gravitt, and especially Mrs. Grebe! Our newest teacher Mrs. Cox is amazingly sweet and very smart! Mrs. Gravitt works at Matt Elementary and at Sawnee so she attends Sawnee Wed.-Fri. Last but not least Mrs. Grebe is in charge of all activities and is a very special teacher!
Current Events Current events teach students what is happening in the world. Said by my horizons teacher Mrs.Grebe, “Kids like you are the next generation.” So by this being said kids should realize what is happening in the world they live in!
Hands on Equations Hands on equations teaches students how to solve equation levels 1-3. Students work their way in grade up levels to learn the simple mathematic equations in this world. Complex thinking skills are shown through the years in horizons. 5th grade students LOVE hands on equations and hope new coming students love it too!
Caesar’s English Caesar’s English helps students identify words with hard prefixes and suffixes without using resources. This is helping your student in testing with the ability to identify the word the test is asking. Students use fun activities made by the teachers to have a fun way to learn about this. Some of the prefixes and suffixes are from Greek language.
Publishing Authors Your student is becoming an author! Students will learn how to write a book with a class or independently write their own. This strategy helps students become creative.
Fun Activities!!! - Jimmy Carter Peanut Drawing Contest! This is a good experience if a winning postcard because you get to travel to Plains G.A. to meet Jimmy Carter himself and attend a festival!
