Ingredients: For basic tea- Tea valley Leaves- 4 to 5 tsp Milk- 1 cup Chai masala- 1 tsp Sugar- as per taste For flavoring tea with masala- Cardamom- 1-inch stick Green cardamoms- 4 Peppercorns- 16 Nutmeg- 0.25 tsp ( grated ) Procedure to make a Classic Masala Chai: 1. On medium-high heat, warm up around 1 ⅓ cups of water in a pot. (For two cups of chai.) 2. Use a mortar and pestle or a coffee/spice grinder to grind the spices while the water is heating, then allow the mixture to cool. 3. Once the mixture gets cool, store it in an air-tight container. 4. Add Tea Valley leaves and powdered masala ( prepared one ), and bring the water to a boil for about a minute. 5. Add milk and sugar to the mixture and stir it properly. 6.
