  1. How not to fall victim to fraud when buying a used iPhone Do not buy a used iPhone if you do not read the advice of us. Thousands of gadgets and accessories, including many Apple devices, are sold hand in hand through an ad site or Facebook page. These are usually devices from previous years, used, but often there are ads with "box" mobile phones at bargain prices. Read also "The safest guide to preparing an iPhone for sale”. How can you tell which device is worth the money and which transaction hides a big scam? How will you trust the seller and what are the things to look out for? We’ve put together a list of key points that you need to focus on before making a purchase. Low price and payment before delivery. Pay special attention when a device is sold at an extremely low price, with a mandatory payment before delivery. The seller can convince you in various ways, e.g., need the money directly or together with the device to give you some accessories as a gift. But you may end up getting a used device instead of a new one, a damaged device or in the worst case absolutely nothing. In most cases, prepayment is prohibited.

  2. The only exception is when the purchase is made by a trusted seller, and you want to buy a used iPhone but the bad transaction can even come from stores or online shops. Many scammers sell broken devices without letting the other person check it right away, on the pretext that they do not have enough battery power. These people can be extremely persuasive and highly experienced. When the victims return home, opening the box they are faced with an unpleasant surprise. An extremely unfortunate American had bought an iPad mini and an iPhone 4s from the popular Craigslist ad site and after paying the seller, he disappeared in seconds. When he opened the boxes, he found a piece of candle and a notebook. There are many people who buy "monkey" iPhones of their own free will, precisely because they are cheap. But often, these devices are marketed as authentic and because they have great similarities, very often they are bought used iPhone for their personal use as much more money than they are worth. At first glance, you may not be able to tell if the iPhone is genuine. But you can open the device and see if it has Google Play (so it's a monkey) or the App Store (it's authentic). If you are planning to buy a second-hand device, there is a good chance that this device will be stolen. It is very difficult to understand though. Check as much as you can the seller's past and sales reviews, if the purchase is made from an eBay site. When examining the mobile phone, compare the code, the serial number and the IMEI from the box in relation to what is written in the settings of the device.
