Visual Studio obtaining the Design-Source option when editing HTML files

  1. Visual Studio obtaining the Design-Source option when editing HTML files

  2. Go to Tools/Options

  3. Go to Text Editor/File Extension

  4. Type in an extension such as htm and select HTML (Web Forms) Editor from the drop-down, click Add

  5. Repeat for html extension

  6. Restart Visual Studio? To seethe Design/Split/Source tab at the bottom

  7. Source versus Design View

  8. Split View
