  4. II. Religious Effects of the Plague • Who were the flagellants? What was their reaction to the Bubonic Plague? Why would a group like this gain so many followers at this point in history? • Why did the Bubonic Plague lead to an increase in Anti-Semitism? • Ultimately, what effect is the Bubonic Plague going to have on the power and the influence of the Church?

  5. III. Economic Effects of the Plague • What effect is the plague going to have on the economies of the major European countries? • Let’s say that you are a serf who manages to survive the plague. Why are you going to be in a good position after the plague is over? • What effect will these changes have on Feudalism and Manorialism?
