Salsa Mild Salsa Spicy Tomato Salsa 4 tomatoes (diced) 1 small onion (or half of large onion) – finely chopped ¼ - ½ C fresh cilantro leaves (chopped/minced) 1 garlic clove (crushed, minced) 3 T olive oil 2 T orange juice (optional) ½ tsp red pepper flakes (or more for hotter, also substitute jalapeno peppers) Salt and pepper to taste Mix all ingredients until well combined. Serve with tortilla chips. • 4 tomatoes (diced) • 1 small onion (or half/1/4 of large onion) – finely chopped • 1 small green bell pepper or half of a large one (minced) • ¼ - ½ C fresh cilantro leaves (chopped/minced) • 1Green chile (chopped) • 1 clove garlic (minced) • 2 T red wine vinegar (optional) • 1 T olive oil • 2 T lime juice • Salt and pepper to taste • Combine all ingredients. Add any extra ingredients you want. Serve with tortilla chips.
Push the blade of the chef's knife down over the bunched cilantro to remove the most tender stems and leaves.
