  1. What to expect … EVERYDAY: • We will begin with a warm-up exercise • Learn a new concept or skill (Algebra or Geometry) • Discuss, practice & explore that concept

  2. HOMEWORK & Assignments??? Assignment = written work that is turned in Homework= an Assignmentthat was not finished in class, that you do outside of class -- almost always is due the next day (unless otherwise told) Homework 3 to 4 times per week

  3. You are expected to: • Bring notebook, pencil and paper EVERYDAY!! • Be in your seat working on warm-up before bell rings (and already have writing utensil ready) • Enter the classroom with a positive “can do” attitude

  4. Your Grade in class • 40% Minor Grades (warm-up, daily work, quizzes) • 50% Major Grades (tests 3 per 6wks) • 10% Common Assessment • Late Work- begin at a 70%- Due no later than 1 week from due-date • You need to check Skyward regularly … but will be given an updated report on Monday of each week.

  5. Supplies required 1 ½ inch binder that has dividers Notes -- Rules &Formula Chart Graded Papers Notebook paper Pencils or blue/black ink pen Colored Pen (for grading)

  6. MATH TUTORIALS Morning tutorials 8:00 – 8:40 After noon tutorials 4:05 – 4:35
