  3. Biodiesel Biodiesel 生化柴油是指由可再生的油脂原料,例如植物或動物中的三酸甘油酯(triacylglycerols),經交酯化反應(Transesterification)合成所得的FAEEs(fatty acid ethyl esters)等長鏈脂肪酸甲脂,可代替柴油作為燃油使用的一種環保燃料。

  6. 優點 • 較石化燃油安全 • 不會造成污染 • 可以廢油做為原料,為再生性的能源。 • 來源作物之種植可間接擴增綠地

  7. 缺點 • 植物油脂之體積與黏度較石化油脂大,會影響引擎運作。 • 植物油脂之來源植物的生長,受到季節與地域性的限制。 • 製造中使用的甲醇具有毒性,且不完全為再生性的能源

  8. Microdiesel • 利用微生物所產生的生化柴油 • 利用Escherichia coli,經由基因轉殖之方式加入適合的基因片段,使含有特殊的酵素已達到預期之結果。
