2. 02 EUROPEAN CULTURAL ROUTE OF SAINTS CYRIL AND METHODIUS • AIM: To utilize the legacy of Saints Cyril and Methodius and create a network of regions, cities, educational and research institutes that interconnect historically important places of pilgrimage, so that our common cultural heritage would increase competitiveness and attractiveness of our regions. Certification of the European Cultural Route of Saints Cyril and Methodius within the framework of the programme“Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe”

3. 03 EUROPEAN CULTURAL ROUTE OF SAINTS CYRIL AND METHODIUS WHAT DO WE WANT TO ACHIEVE? • to present the idea of implementing the European Cultural Route of Saints Cyril and Methodius • to find relevant partners for preparing and implementing the European Cultural Route of Saints Cyril and Methodius • to commence the necessary steps for initiating mutual cooperation

4. 04 EUROPEAN CULTURAL ROUTE OF SAINTS CYRIL AND METHODIUS WHAT HAS ALREADY BEEN PREPARED? • PROJECT AIM IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CERTIFICATION CRITERIA: • has a European theme and stipulates engagement of relevant foreign partners • defines aims and their fulfillment within the framework of five areas • Cooperation in research and development • Enhancement of the memory, history and European heritage • Cultural and educational exchanges of young Europeans • Contemporary cultural and artistic practice • Cultural tourism and sustainable cultural development • defines the management structure • defines possible funding sources The aim of the European Cultural Route of Saints Cyril and Methodius will be prepared for implementing objectives within the framework of individual areas, in order to draw from subsidies as a part of the EU Cohesion Policy for 2014-2020.

7. 13 EUROPEAN CULTURAL ROUTE OF SAINTS CYRIL AND METHODIUS (b) MANAGEMENT STRUCTURE • GENERAL MEETING OF PARTNER REGIONS • Role:Controlling fulfillment of project aims, course of project implementation. • Membership: Will be formed of all partners from individual regions taking part in the project. • STEERING COMMITTEE (FOR COORDINATION AND MANAGEMENT) • Role: Coordination of project implementation as a whole. All decisions concerning content, process, outcomes and results of the project will be accepted by the SC. • Membership: Leaders in individual areas will form the SC. • WORKING COMMITTEES FOR AREAS 1-5 • Role: Coordination of areas on a transnational level • Membership: Will be comprised of partners participating in managing the given areas on a translational level including communication and cooperation with stakeholders. A lead partner of the working committee will be selected from amongst partners in the given working committee. • WORKING GROUPS FOR AREAS 1-5 • Role: Managing activities on a national level based on area • Membership: National partners participating in implementing activities within the given area including communication and cooperation with stakeholders. The lead partner of the work group will coordinate activities of the given area and will be a member of the working committee.

8. 14 EUROPEAN CULTURAL ROUTE OF SAINTS CYRIL AND METHODIUS PUBLICITY AND MARKETING • Sharing results of the project with as wide a public circle as possible (technical public, educators and others). Effort to cooperate with important European institutes leading to further development of the cultural route, attaining certification within the framework of the program European Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe. • Providing fast and effective internal communication amongst partners (exclusive place on a Website, video conferences) and wide-ranging external promotion of project outcomes and results (Website, newsletters, conferences, publicity, trade fairs). External promotion will help utilize the results and assure long-term sustainability of the network and its transnational activities.
