The Counting of the Omer • A fifty day spiritual journey-v.16 • The miracle of redemption- Passover I Corinthians 5:7 Isaiah 53:5,6 • From bondage to meeting with God barley to wheat, Egypt to Sinai. John 8:36 Ephesians 2:3-5 Galatians 5:1 • A greater harvest still to come Ephesians 4:8-10 Jeremiah 31:33

  5. Everyone Invited to the Celebration! • Two loaves of bread presented v.17-18 Galatians 3:38 leavened bread both offered unique yet one in Messiah- Revelation 5:9 • Including the poor, the widow, the stranger- v. 21,22 • Reading of the Book of Ruth Matthew 1:5,6,17

How Does This Apply to Us? • Shavuot/Weeks- one of three great pilgrim festivals- Exodus 23:14-17 • Jesus celebrated the Feasts Luke 2:48 John 7:10 Matthew 26:17-19 • Jesus promised He would not leave us as orphans-John 14:16-17 • The risen Lord Jesus told the disciples to wait for “the promise” Acts 1:4 Moments before He ascended to glory -Zechariah 14:4 • Ten days later- Shavuot- Acts 2:1 Pentecost! Jeremiah 31:33 • One in Messiah- The greater coming harvest Ephesians 2:14-15
