California Project LEAN (CPL) • Focuses on youth and parent empowerment, policy and environmental change strategies, and community-based solutions • Mission: To increase healthy eating and physical activity to reduce the prevalence of obesity and chronic disease
Purpose of the Toolkit • Provides resources to help school stakeholders engage parents • To educate parents about the LSWP • To give parents the tools to be more proactive and advocate • To expand the parent awareness of advocacy opportunities in their community
Who Should Use the Toolkit? • School stakeholders who want to work with parents to implement/improve the LSWP • Parents who want to advocate for a strong LSWP
