Collaboration Tools – Wikis • Hawaiian word for “quick” • Online workspaces where approved participants can read, write, and edit content and comments • All edits are tracked, leaving a virtual paper trail • Great for group projects or a knowledge base Wiki Geometry
Collaboration Tools - Blogs • An easily created, easily updateable website that allows an author to publish instantly to the Internet • Requires about as much skill as sending an email • The user can post text, pictures, videos, podcasts, hyperlinks, gadgets (calendars, archives, visitor tracking) • Most have custom security features Blogs 2 Cents
