Properties of Chamomile Medicinal Benefits Anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, anti-infective, sedative, aromatherapy, insect repellant, diaphoretic, anodyne Help reduce fevers, allergies, sore throats, soreness due to cold/flu, menstrual cramps, sunburn, hemorrhoids, restlessness, diarrhea, migraine, stiff joints Other Benefits Potpourri, shampoo for fair hair, plant tonic In Magic Love, abundance, health, power, pre-ritual cleansing, attract money, alleviate nightmares, meditation, remove curses

  3. Health Uses • Relaxing tea: To 1 cup boiling water add 2 tsp. dried flowers. Steep covered for 10 min. • For Bath: Use ½ to 1 cup fresh or dried herb tied in linen bag or unwanted sock. Place in tub with hot water let soak for 10 min. then add cold water to the temp. you like. Do not add soap to bath as it will coat your skin and not allow the Chamomile to penetrate. • For Bad Colds: Add a few drops of 100% essential oil to your humidifier along with Eucalyptus and Peppermint. • For Aromatherapy: Add a few drops of 100% essential oil to your candle oil burner. • Add to incense or burn alone, for soothing body and mind. Will not have the same apple smell when burned. • To soothe skin: Make an infusion (tea) and apply to irritated skin. • Rinse your hair in a cooled infusion of chamomile to relieve dandruff.

  4. Magical Uses • Place a few flowers in your wallet to attract money • Place a ½ -1 cup of flowers in your warm bath water for pre-ritual cleansing • Sprinkle it around your home to remove curses (also grow it near your foundation) • Sprinkle it into a dream pillow to ward nightmares and bring on restful sleep • Burn during ritual for relaxation and meditation • Wash hands in Chamomile tea before gambling to increase luck • Can be used in uncrossing formulas

  5. Growing Handling • Most common forms of Chamomile are German and Roman • Grows up to 20 inches tall • Small plants can be obtained at most nurseries, and even Wal-mart. • Requires full sun and lots of water • Will grow in most soils • Plant among the rest of your garden to help deter pests and disease, and attract good insects

  6. Cautions • Anyone sensitive to ragweed may experience allergic reactions to chamomile. • High doses can cause nausea • Pregnant or nursing women should consult their doctor before taking any herbs.
