  13. My Writing • Eleanor Roosevelt • By: Clarissa Hane • Eleanor was born in 1884. She was married in 1905. The women got the right to vote in 1920. But, Franklin Roosevelt, Eleanor’s husband, got polio in 1921. In 1928 Eleanor was better known than Franklin. Congratulations, Eleanor made six kids from 1906 through 1981. Sadly, she died in 1962. • Eleanor grew up in New York City. Her mother thought Eleanor was ugly. She grew into a wealthy family. When she was 15, she went to school in England. Well, she didn’t really fit in but her grandmother made her go to parties and meet people. One more thing, her dad called her his own little darling. • In 1933, Franklin became president so Eleanor became the first lady. She held 350 press conferences for woman reporters only. Eleanor wanted to find out how people in the coal mine were being treated so she went to see them. In their afternoon dress’, Amelia Earhart and Eleanor flew in a plane together. “Bye- bye”, Eleanor said when Franklin died in 1945. • She was the First Lady and she was very kind. I think she is nice, kind, challenged, interesting, and cool. Two things she did were quit a club because they didn’t let a black sin and she served hot dogs to the king and queen of England. I feel astonished by how she acts. She was amazing but I don’t want to be her because she would have too much work for the First Lady and they live back then when there wasn’t good entertainment.

  14. Summer Plans • I have a summer nanny & she is a really fun person. • My Dad gives us about $20.00 each day for something to do. • We sometimes save up a lot of it until we have enough money to go to the Zoo or something like that. • I have soccer camp for a week & I stay there for 6 hours. • We go to the pool a lot.

  15. Three Goals for next year • The first goal is to start the Hunger Games. • The second goal is to start being a really good student & getting better grades. • The third goal is to make more Power Points with my friends.

  16. The end • I hope you guys have a great 4th grade as well! • THE END!
