Promoting Physical Activity Among Urban Minorities Through Accessible Recreational Resources

This study examines how proximity to recreational facilities affects physical activity levels in African-American and Hispanic adults in urban areas of NY, MD, and NC. Results show increased activity within 5 miles of resources, emphasizing the importance of accessible recreational amenities for minority and low socioeconomic status populations. Understanding these dynamics can inform policies to enhance physical activity opportunities for urban minorities.
