What you are going to get from this class: • 12 months of DHS and other requiring info (September to the end of Aug) Infant and preschool set • 39 weeks of ideas of creative curriculum (September to the end of May) Infant & preschool set • 13 weeks of ideas/curriculum for the summer months (June, July & Aug) 4. My website to download the charts – one that is mine to use has a cheat cheat and one for our own to fill that will already have the requiring info and material that will never change (abc, 123 example).

1. Emotional Teaching Second Step Comes with 33 cards to help you teach little ones about Emotional feelings. (I would do 3 every month and the 4th week do fire and safety drill. 4. Skill reading books = need 39 + 13 Finding skill books to go with your skill: Here are some examples:
5,6,7 - ABC, 123, Colors and Shapes(9 months & the other 3 months is a review)
8. Book of the week (need 39 + 13) • You can pick a book that will correlate with the theme of the month or skill - Read the same book every day for the week by changing it up. Examples: Day 1. I ask the children what they see or notice on the pages. Day 2. I will read the book Day 3. Bring out a puppet Day 4. Use the kids name in the book Day 5. Use my own words to put a spin on it. Or/And: Have them read you the book. Or/And: Don’t read the whole book.. Leave them with a cliff hanger.
9. Finger Play (Ideas) = need 20 + 6 I alternate Finger Play (Action) and Rhyming from week to week.
10. Rhyming (Ideas) = need 20 + 7 I alternate Rhyming and Finger Play (Action) from week to week.
11. Music and Dance (need 20 +6)I alternated Music/Dance with Games
12. Games (Ideas) = need 20 + 7I alternated Games with Music/Dance)
13. Weeks 1-39 and 1-13 summerDates / Months/Theme • Dates (optional) but needs to be changed every year • Months – September through August • Theme for each Month: Ideas below
14. Theme - Twelve months placed on poster board for display • Picture of my display board.
15. Tooth Brushing • This is a Head Start requirement, and soon will be an accreditation recommendation – this is optional for Providers who do not partner with Head Start and not accredited. Rules: • Brush teeth everyday • Swish and spit everyday • Change brushes every 3 months or bristles look warn out. – which ever the two comes first.
17. Centers • Sand Sensory • Game Table • Movement • Computer • Science • Creative • Dramatic • Library • Block
18. Learning Station • There will be 4 stations that you need to change weekly. Game Center, Art Center, Science Center & Math Center
Learning Station • There will be 1 thing you change & 1 station you change monthly. • Theme board • Book center - display of books
19. Fire/Storm Drills • Fire and Storm drill are monitory for all Providers. • Check list – Crib sheet and other safety checklist you may have.
20. Other activities of your skills to teach • You have a life skill to teach – Example on my weekly planner The print in red means “it never changes”
24. Trips/Special Speaker/Events • Trips, special speaker and events is optional
25. Conferences • This is optional – but if you are accredited or Parent Aware or partner with Head Start – you must do these. I don’t put these on my advent calendar.
26. Days Off • This is optional to have it – but if you want this to be a perpetual calendar – only put place things that will never change.
27.
