Special verbs, like gustar, require an indirect object pronoun (IOP) which show who the verb is being acted upon. • Other verbs that follow the same pattern are: • Aburrir, fascinar, importar, caer bien (mal), interesar, molestar, disgustar, encantar, faltar, parecer, etc. Los verbosespeciales

  3. The indirect object pronouns are as follows: Note: You can add a prepositional phrase in front of the IOP in order to clarify even more. Me gusta el baile. VS A mí me gusta el baile. The prepositional phrases are as follows: Los pronombresindirectos

  4. The IOP changes based on the subject of the sentence. • The verb changes based on the number of things doing the action. • (Yo) Me gusta el taco. • (Yo) Me gustan los tacos. • (You) Te gustan los tacos. • If the “special” verb is followed by an infinitive, the “special” verb is sigular. • Me gusta bailar. ¡Conjuguemos!

  5. Conjueguen los verbos especiales. Ejemplo: A mí (gustar) el cereal. A mí me gusta el cereal. • A mí (interestar) el químico. • A Juán (encantar) leer. • A tí (molestar) las tareas del íngles. • A nosotros (fascinar) los deportes. • A Tobias (caer bien) tus amigos. ¡A practicar!
