Navigate: Get THERE through Team AdvisingQuality Enhancement Plan (QEP) Overview of Preliminary Implementation Plan: Purpose: The purpose of “Navigate: Get THERE through Team Advising” is to improve students’ academic planning skills through team advising.
Navigate: Get THERE through Team AdvisingQuality Enhancement Plan (QEP) Goal 1: Student Learning- Through team advising, students will set and make plans for achieving educational success goals. Student Learning Objectives: (The student will be able to . . . ) Demonstrate knowledge of the advising structure. Set an academic goal. Develop an academic plan. Demonstrate individual responsibility for academic success. Preliminary Target Audience: Fall 2014 Cohort Students (students who are new to VWCC) who are in a degree program and in SDV. Thereafter, first year students enrolled in a degree program and taking SDV.

College Objectives: (The advising team will be able to . . . ) Understand their roles Have a greater awareness of the importance of advising and an academic plan Use the progressive model of advising Have a manageable advising workload Utilize technology to assist in efficiently serving students
