Day One France is the best! • Theoretical airplane departure from Kansas City at midnight • It’s 9:00 in France! • Arrive in La Rochelle at 18:00 (in France Time) • Let’s visit the Tower of the Lantern in La Rochelle at 18:15 • Exploration until 21:00 • Go to our hotel, La Rivagerie, at 21:15 • Costs $111 a night Show them some pictures, Lydia

Day Two • Take TGV number 8306 from La Rochelle at 5:47 • Ride the train until we arrive at Poitiers at 7:18 • Once at Poitiers, it will take us twenty minutes to drive to Futuroscope • Have fun at the Futuroscope amusement park—7:38-18:00 • Drive to Chauvigny—34 minute ride • Explore castles of Chauvigny from 18:34 to 20:30 • Arrive at La Rochelle at 22:41 • Back to La Rivagerie at 22:53

Day Three • Take TGV number 8324 at 10:56 • Arrive in Niort at 11:37 • Drive to VeniseVerte, arrive at 12:06 • Spend a day on the trails, the water, viewing the nature until 21:20 • Drive back to Niort—arrive at 21:49 • Take TGV number 8377 at 21:54 to La Rochelle • Back to La Rivagerie at 22:06

Day Four • Take Train CIC 13899 at 8:25 • Arrive in Royan at 11:50 • Drive to La Palmyre zoo, arrive at 12:10 • Tour zoo until 17:00 • Return to Royan at 17:20 • Take a boat to le Pare de Cordouan (King’s Lighthouse) • Climb the 311 steps, touring five floors and the balcony • Leave Royan on Train TER 64528 • Arrive in La Rochelle at 21:19 • Back to La Rivagerie at 21:43

Day Five • Take Train TER 64081 at 8:57 • Arrive in Rochefort at 9:25 • Drive to the Musée des Commercesd’Autrefois • Arrive at 10:00, just in time for the first tour! • Browse the old-fashioned shops until 12:00 • Drive to the Maison de Pierre Loti • Three minute drive • Take the tour for 30 minutes • At 12:30, make our way to the Musée National de la Marine • Another 3 minute drive • Tour the museum until 14:45 • Drive to the Jardin de la Couture • At 19:00,we’ll drive 18 minutes over to Les Soins de Sayuri • Get ourselves some spa treatments • At 20:00, we’ll go to train TIB 3858 for the 20:43 train back to La Rochelle • Arrive at 21:02 • Back at La Rivagerie at 21:26 Allons!

Day Six • Take Train TER 64823 at 10:44, arrive in Saintes at 11:35 • Drive to the Amphitheater • 20 minute drive • Browse the ancient ruins until 16:00 • Drive to the Abbaye aux Dames • Tour the interesting architecture, history, tower • Listen to the concert performance • At 21:00, head back to the train station for our 21:28 train on CIC 13898 • Arrive in La Rochelle at 22:23 • Back to La Rivagerie at 22:47 Rome forgot a big Amphitheater at my place. Ha ha! I’m so forgetful! Be sure to watch one of the concerts too!

Aquariums are always great Day Seven • Drive to the La Rochelle Aquarium at 9:00 • 13 minute drive • Browse until 11:30, head over to the airport • Fly home, arrive at what would be 21:00 in French time, but is actually noon in ours • Recover from Jet Lag—may take a while But do you really have to leave so soon?
