Required for 10th GradeMinimum 6 Credits Total English Language Arts – see options on back of sheet (note that some course numbers have changed!) Science – see options on back of sheet Social Studies – see options on back of sheet and below (AP World, World History, Contemporary World, or Humanities) Math – see options on back of sheet Any Physical Education course
Teacher Signatures! • Talk with your English teacher about what course is best for you – Have them sign your sheet! • Talk with your Math teacher about what course is best for you – Have them sign your sheet! • Talk with your Science teacher about what course is best for you – Have them sign your sheet! • Talk with your Civics teacher about what course is best for you – Have them sign your sheetif selecting AP World History.
Electives for 10th Grade Many choices at the 10th Grade Level – Be sure to check to see if there is a prerequisite*! *Prerequisite means you cannot take this course unless other specific courses was taken 9th grade year. (Example: Algebra 1 must be taken before Geometry) 10th Grade year is a good year to explore different courses – take some time looking at options! Keep in mind a Fine Arts (Art, Music, Theatre) credit is needed for graduation. Must take a minimum of 6 credits (Take 6 ½ or 7 if you don’t want study halls) If you are struggling, only take 6 credits! Utilize a study hall to stay caught up.
Think about After High School Two and four year colleges minimum requirements are more that AASD requirements! Example: Two years of World Language are required at some colleges (top universities want more) Fox Valley Technical College recommends you take 3-4 technical courses in high school
