  1. There are 4 different Aashrams: • Bramacharyaaashram • Grahastaaashram • Vanprasthaaashram • Sanyasaashram Our topic today is BramacharyaAashram so we will explain what it means and how to observe in life of a student correctly.

  2. BhramacharyaAashram is known as the Studying Stage • This means one must focus on studying as this will be a foundation for the rest of your life. • It will eventually determine the job you have, how much money you will earn and the standard of the quality of life you will have.  The amount of knowledge you will be able to absorb will be maximum at this time as apposed to studying when married or have kids etc...

  3. As per Saints and Shastros, paaring the Bhramachara Dharma niyams means your ability to remember and retain knowledge increases. • The learning in this stage helps to become a person with different types of skills which will all be useful in your life to come.  e.g. for ladies, cooking, being able to sew, driving, dharmik studies - reading/listening to shashtras, as you will need this knowledge to be able to guide your children.

  4. The niyams of this stage of life seem hard but they are actually like the LaxmanRekha in Ramayan.  • The niyams laid down by Maharaj are for our protection. • When Sitaji stepped out side the LaxmanRekha, she had to tolerate a lot of dukh with her being kidnapped by Ravan.

  5. As girls develop into young ladies, the body goes through a transformation and so does the mind. • The mind starts noticing, and wanting the attention of the opposite sex. • All that we would ask is that you are not too quick to act • on your impulses. • Make sure you look at the qualities of the boy, not just the out side.

  6. Ask your self a few questions: • Will I be able to spend the rest of my life with him? • Will my parents be ok with this relationship? • Where possible talk to a friend who can guide you/offer advise on how best to handle these feelings you are experiencing. Take your time deciding because this is something you shouldn’t rush. You need to be 100% sure that he is the right guy for you, and for your future.
