Four wall handball is played on a court 20’ x 40’ with a 20’ front wall. Three wall is played on the same size court outdoors without a back wall. One wall is played indoors or outdoors on a court 20’ x 34’ with a 16’ front wall. • The ball is rubber almost 2” in diameter and weighs 62 grams. The ball is hit with either hand and must hit the front wall before it hits the floor. • The rules are simple and the basic fundamentals are easy to learn. It does take some time to learn to play the game with proficiency.

USHA College Program
Goal of USHA Collegiate Program • Establish relationship with key personnel in the Recreation or Intramural Departments • Introduce handball to Colleges and Universities The goal is twenty-five schools per year • Establish teams and create leagues • Develop Train-the-Trainer programs • Establish local and national sponsors • Develop and coordinate handball clinics
Collegiate Program Provides • Training and support for instructors • Clinic Starter Kit of equipment including • Gloves, handballs, eye guards, training manuals • Rule books, posters, USHA magazine • Videos, CDs, posters
Start a Collegiate Program on your campus • Request the USHA to start a handball program at your college • Find someone on campus who is a handball player to act as instructor/sponsor or let us teach the teacher • There are men and women in the community who will help your program • Advertise the program so that students will know it is available • Set a date, time and place for first meeting • USHA will send a starter kit of gloves, handballs, eye guards and instruction manuals
USHA Tournaments • Has been holding tournaments since 1951 • Local, State, Regional and National levels • Administers and Sanctions 100+ tournaments • National Collegiate Four Wall Tournament • Has seven or more divisions for men and five divisions for women
