  4. Wireless Application Platform Two major methods being used: • Translation of existing HTML content into a wireless-based form. • Development support for building new wireless applications • Translation model is the most common • Translation won’t work in long term

  5. Mobile Access to Corporate Data Paradigms: • Wireless access to “Outlook” • Synchronisation of PDAs • Wireless interface to group-ware products • Wireless Outlook and Synchronisation the most common.

  6. Content Aggregation Platform • One-stop shop for content

  7. Instant Messaging Tools, Platforms and Services • Very hot • Usually SMS-based
