Definition * Affirmative Action-The set of public policies designed to help eliminate past and present discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.

Definition * Reverse Discrimination-discrimination in hiring, or college admissions. Directed against members of certain social or racial groups, as white males, thought of as being dominant or having benefited from past discrimination against minority groups who are now favored, often as a result of affirmative action.

Definition * Diversity-The condition of having or being composed of differing elements :the inclusion of different types of people (as people of different races or cultures) in a group or organization.

Conclusion • For decades blacks have been considered less capable than whites. • Discrimination, Diversity, and Problems • These and other stereotypes have started o change and will continue to change with the help of affirmative action, because the majority of the country voted a black man into presidency.
