Add/Transfer • Click Add/Transfer • Type in student name and DOB, click Search • Your options should show the correct choice you need – if not, contact IMS. • For instance, if you know a student has been on an IEP but when you do a search, it doesn’t find the old IEPs, contact IMS as spelling of a name or DOB may be different. • If the student has ever been on an IEP (or is currently), or been thru Child Find, it should say that at the top of the screen.
Adding Options: In this last example, there is no option to transfer because there is an open IEP in the system.
When students are added as ‘Potential Service Provider’, this will not put the student on the student list – only on that teacher or support provider’s list. • Students that transfer will show on the student list once IMS processes the request
Transfer option Update activities also
Transfer- updating parent info Make sure to click ‘Save & Close’
Move-ins • Added as status of ATMI on student list • When adding new IEP, it will automatically choose Move-In • Please use this option, but put the meeting date as the date the student started at the district • Duration to date can be updated as an Iowa IEP will need to be completed • Complete tabs A, F (services and activities that were listed on the out of state IEP but we would assign them to our providers), and RSD. This will put the student in the system, you can mark ‘Ready to Review’ and we’ll get it processed. • Once processed, then you can open a regular IEP to have for the Iowa IEP and modify services as needed. • Make sure to send a copy of the out-of-state IEP to IMS
Move-In: Complete tab a, f, & rsd Update Duration To date-then this will show on the student list so you know an IEP has to be held. Also update Reeval date if needed.
find • Need exact student first and last name, and DOB • Click ‘Find’, enter first, last, & DOB and click ‘Search’ • All current info will show if currently on an IEP • All archives will show – you can click on these records to see the IEP • If there is an open IEP, you won’t be able to view it thru the ‘Find’ option • Any associated file is shown and you can click on it
Find, cont. These are current services and activities You can also click on any Associated File Archive records – these can be clicked to access
