Project Aim • The project aims to increase transparency and good governance in Ukraine, through improved policy and strategy processes at local and regional levels, and enhanced accountability and citizen engagement with elected representatives. www.britishcouncil.org
Project Components • Workshops on Strategy and Policy Development Framework for regional elected representatives and appointed officials. • Workshops on advocacy, lobbying, coalition building, partnership development and introduction to Citizen Participation Strategy for civil society organisations • Workshops for Oblasts administration personnel on practical implementation of the Strategy and Policy Development Framework. • Community level events to facilitate practical engagement of the target groups in policy and strategy development • Development of models and “How to” guide on the implementation of the Citizen Participation Strategy for wide dissemination throughout Ukraine • National dissemination conference to showcase Citizen Participation Strategy and Strategy and Policy Development Framework developed and piloted by the project • Amendments and recommendations for changes to the laws on self-governance for submission to the Parliament of Ukraine www.britishcouncil.org
