CREAMED AND BUSINESS CREATION Why create a network of incubators in the Euroregion? An economic development strategy for the Euroregion: - To structure joint action around the creation of innovative and sustainable businesses that cannot be relocated. - To stimulate exchanges between new companies -To create synergies in the approach to supporting incubation and the development of companies, especially internationalization. Data demonstrating this need for cooperation: -Business incubators are in high demand. -The survival rate of hosted companies is much higher than the average: 70% to 80% compared with less than 50%. -The creation of regional networks has had a positive impact in every territory, often becoming a tool for regional development. 23/10/2019 Socis:
CREAMED, A NETWORK OF DYNAMIC INCUBATORS 89 assistance and hosting structures (98 sites): -19 structures in Languedoc-Roussillon -20 structures in Midi-Pyrenees(27 sites) -49 structures in Catalonia -One structure in the Balearic Islands (5 sites) Over 1 400 innovative businesses assisted in the following sectors: Biotechnologies/health, ITC, space and on-board systems, renewable energy sources, agro-industries, tourism, commerce, electronics, mechanics, etc. 23/10/2019 Socis:

CREAMED, WHAT COMES NEXT? • Creamed has allowed to know eachother, exchange and structure a network • Unanimously, beneficiaries, European bodies, partners and management bodies of the SUDOE programme agree on the success of Creamed project. • This agreement paves the way for a reflection on the continuation of this project and, beyond, the exploration of new actions brought by the teachings of the achievements and common results. • - The latest contacts with the SUDOE programme managers give several important information to take into account for a Creamed II project development. 23/10/2019 Socis:
CREAMED, WHAT COMES NEXT? Proposal for Creamed II architecture: - The public of Creamed II will be restricted to more easily touch hosted business - To adapt to the requirements of contribution to the objectives of the programme. - It follows from Creamed that some nurseries have been more responsive and involved than others. - To place first these nurseries will increase the production capacity and ensure high quality of service to start-ups.
