  3. French adjectives: • Describe nouns • Must agree in gender with the noun they describe • Many feminine adjectives end in ‘e’ • Are gender markers • Generally are placed BEHIND the noun they describe

  5. Note: • If an adjective ends in an e (not é) An extra e is NOT added: Un garçon sincère Une fille sincère Un élève timide Une élève timide

  6. Pronunciation note: • Final consonants are not pronounced in French: • Grand – petit – blond • When the e follows a consonant, the final consonant is then pronounced: • Grande – petite - blonde
