  4. ROME Rome is the capital of Italy.The legend says that Romolo was the founder of Rome.The date of the foundation is 21 April 753 a.C.

  6. On one of its many bridges, young lovers have chained padlocks around a lamppost and thrown their keys into the river Tevere. The Vatican State, where the Pope lives.

  7. The castle of Sant’ Angelo Piazza di Spagna Piazza Venezia

  8. In the Cappella Sistina you can admire “Il Giudizio Universale” by Michelangelo. The “Pietà” by Michelangelo represents the Virgin with her dead son in her arms. This sculpture is in the Basilica of St. Pietro.

  9. VITERBO Viterbo is located in northern Lazio. The city is known as the Città dei Papi.

  10. RIETI The province of Rieti is rich in water and it is famous for the Fonti di Cottorella.

  11. FROSINONE The province of Frosinone is famous for its special shoes called ‘ciocie‘. They are typical shoes from this area worn by old farmers.

  12. LATINA The Province of Latina is one of the newest provinces in Lazio. Piazza del Popolo
