One-quarter of the children in Sub-Saharan Africa die before their 5th birthday. • Less than one-fifth of teens attend high school. • At least two-thirds of the people are infected with HIV/AIDS (Sub-Saharan) • HIV/AIDS has killed more than 3.1 million people in 2004 • 4.9 million have acquired the virus the same year. WHATS THE PROBLEM ?
Total number of people infected with HIIV/AIDS is 39.4 million. • HIV/AIDs rate is above global average • Africa’s population is 5 million people and 20%of them are infected • 500,000 children are orphans TO BE CONTINUED…
