Leading with Digital Citizenship • Students exhibit a positive attitude toward using technology that supports collaboration, learning, and productivity. • Students frequently use Haiku to blog, collaborate, and discuss learning topics • Students create learning products using their laptops
Leading with Digital Citizenship • Students demonstrate personal responsibility for lifelong learning • Students reflect on learning and set goals for achievement • They share their learning goals on Haiku • Students use the internet for inquiry and dig deeper about topics they are curious about
Leading with Digital Citizenship • Students exhibit leadership for digital citizenship • Students model good behavior when responding to each others blog posts • Students help other students problem solve and collaborate with partners to create products using technology like PowerPoint and Haiku
Leading with Digital Citizenship • Moving forward I would like my students to be more aware of the five star research method • I would like to improve my practice of teaching students the proper rules and guidelines of how one conducts research.

Leading with Assessment • Technology was an essential component in this lesson • Students were able to find credible information using the internet to find news articles on Orca captivity • And the website Easybib simplified the complex task of creating a proper Works Consulted
Leading with Collaboration • In Social Studies students jig saw a chapter on ancient China • Small groups are assigned a section and must work together to create a group PowerPoint that teaches the whole class their assigned part of the chapter • One student takes notes, one student finds images, and one student is the group leader
Leading with Creativity • Students love creating PowerPoint presentations • Each presentation is unique and the kids love showing off their knowledge of cool PowerPoint tech tricks. • Some add sound, some add video, some create amazing visuals
Leading with Presentation • When finished the group presents their final product to the whole class • They are experts on the area they researched and get to teach the class what they discovered • Student take pride in share their collaborative, creative work
Leading with Professional Development • Using technology helps me grow professionally • Twitter allows me to access great ideas for the classroom and be aware of advances in pedagogy • Teacher blogs and education websites share best practices and effective teaching strategies
Leading with Professional Development • My goal is to integrate more collaborative learning through technology • My goal is to assess by having students work on wiki group projects • I want students to practice negotiating ideas, resolving conflicts, coming to an agreement, distributing tasks, listening to others' ideas, and integrating various ideas into a coherent whole.
