  11. SummaryB. ovis ( sheep) • 2007: total 443 pos 12 (2,7%) (abroad: 9) • 2008: total 312 pos 1 (0.32%) (abroad: 1) • 2009 (until July):total 102 pos 0 • Not notifiable disease • The owner pay for the test

  12. Conclusionsabout B. melitensis • Denmark: Official free of Brucellosis in sheep/goat in 1995. • 1-2 FPSR yearly • The official surveillance program for B. melitensis is valuated at the moment.

  13. Conclusionsabout B. ovis ( ovine epididymitis) • No official surveillance program so far. • Sero positive reactions every year from Danish and samples abroad. • Seropositive: 2,7%-0,32% in CFT • Not ever detected by cultivation in Denmark (?). • Importance of B. ovis/ ovine epididymitis ? • Farmers are interested in surveillance ( public task or funds ?)
