Kevin, what determines whether someone …….. ends up being treated.. ……….. in a less invasive way by somebody like you? BEATTWell I think this varies around the country, it varies between hospital and between operator. in a less invasive way by somebody like you?
PORTERWhich is great if there's a 24-hour centre near you and as you said there aren't in most parts of the country and if there doesn't happen to be a patient in there already before you having the procedure done. It's only going to be for the lucky few isn't it?BEATTWell I don't - I don't really think so. Of course we do have to change the way we work and the question is should cardiologists group together and provide this service or should we just carry on in our disparate centres as we have done in the past? My view is that we can - we've shown that we can do it and it is the correct thing to do and I'm sure that we will eventually move that way nationally.
