17.2 Quiz:A Growing Economy • How did mass production and the assembly line impact the supply of goods and prices? • How did the automobile help other industries grow? Which ones were most affected? • Give at least 3 examples of consumer goods that developed during the 1920s. Explain why this increase in demand occurred. • What does it mean to buy something on credit? How does this lead to increased consumerism? Then, how does consumerism impact the economy? • What is welfare capitalism? What impact might welfare capitalism have on union membership? • What conditions contributed to the tough times farmers faced in the early 1920s?
