  2. Numbers 8.2 x 6 = We would be happy if it were just 8 x 6 As soon as we start to multiply numbers that involve a decimal we start to get worried! However, that wretched decimal place causes us problems.

  3. Numbers Just take out the decimal point! 8.2 x 6 = There is a VERY easy technique to get around this problem… now becomes But don’t forget to record how many dps you took out, you need to put them back in at the end! 82 x 6 =

  4. Numbers 82 x 6 = 80 x 6 = 480 2 6 x = 12 480 + 12 = 492 Now put the dp you took out back in 49.2

  5. It does not matter how many decimal places there are, just remember to write down how many places you removed and remember to put them back at the end Numbers

  6. Numbers 3.56 x 7.23 = 4 dps removed 356 x 723 = = 257388 Now put 4 dps back! = 25.7388

  7. SIMPLES!
