  2. Springboard • Promoting Hospitality, Catering, Leisure and Tourism sectors • Connecting businesses with students and job seekers • Hospitality is the 4th largest employer - that's 3 million people or 10% of the workforce • According to People 1st, 993,000 new staff will be needed by 2022

  4. Premier Inn • Interested in referring staff for Step up • Line managers involved in initial 1-2-1 sessions • Approved time off work for group workshops • Keep in regular contact re candidate updates • Understood the benefits

  5. Benefits of Programme • Improvement in staff retention • Increase in levels of confidence and motivation • Working with external personnel can increase chances of staff mentioning barriers • These barriers can be looked at and usually resolved

Programme successes • Improved confidence across current cohort of 8 • Cornelia - Step Up = a great way to improve your skills in customer service  • Priyanka - My experience so far with the Step up programme has been amazing. Every session is filled with activities which has helped me feel more knowledgeable and motivated!
