Work Session 1 Activity 1c: Referencing the CCSS (answer key) Directions: • Locate the enlarged copies of the CCSS Reading Standards for Literature and the CCSS Writing Standards. • Using the next slide, a copy of page 70 from Appendix B, locate the standards referenced in the red circles. RL.4.1: “Refer to details and examples in the text . . . when drawing inferences from the text.” RL.5.2: “Determine a theme of a story, drama, or poem from details . . . summarize the text.”
