This is a guide to Class 4's curriculum night, including the class timetable, homework routines, and resources for students and parents. It also provides information on various subjects taught in Class 4, such as English, Maths, PE & Music, Computing, and E-safety.

Homework tasks • Learn your spellings for the test on Friday (see the half-termlylist of spellings inside your spelling book). • Complete the weekly mathematics task for Wednesday (Y5)/Thursday (Y6). This is usually based around a current or recent maths topic. • Complete the weekly English/topic task for Wednesday (Y5)/Friday(Y6). This could be a short writing task, a punctuation or grammar exercise, or a research task.

Maths in Class 4 • Mastery Maths • Times table grid challenge – aim to beat your own personal target time (Mondays and Wednesdays). • Numeracy Ninjas (Y6 – Tuesdays and Thursdays) • Mental Maths (Monday) • Calculation methods and policy
PE & Music We have a range of specialist coaches who work with Class 4 at various stages throughout the year: • Gerry Harrison – multi-sports and football • Adam Cox – Skipton Tennis Club • Hedley Verity – Wharfedale RUFC - tag rugby • James Wiggan – YCCC – cricket We have a specialist music teacher, Wendy Turvey, who teaches music, singing and supports our performances throughout the year.
Computing and E-safety • Be an informed multi-media user. • We encourage the children to be responsible users of technology.
