THE KENTUCKY DIRTY The Kentucky Dirty is not just another obstacle race. Can you make it through Mammoth Cave without a map? Can you find the Colonel’s secret spice? Can you break into Ft. Knox? Join us September 21st for a unique 3 mile race over, under, and through more than a dozen obstacles themed around The Bluegrass State and find out!
The Obstacles • From Paducah to Pikeville, from the heights of Jellico Mountain to the banks of the Ohio River, and 120 counties in between…join us for a mad romp through the culture, terrain, and kitsch of the Bluegrass State!
The Boonedoggle • What better way to celebrate The Kentucky Dirty than with a new-fashioned hootenanny! Live music, bourbon, beer, good eats, freestyle art, and crazy cool games. We’re calling it The BooneDoggle after good old Dan B. who found a way across the Appalachian Mountains (what’s up, Cumberland Gap, you saucy passage!). So hop on this funk wagon once you’ve completed The Dirty and cross over into The BooneDoggle!
Location • What more fitting place to run The Kentucky Dirty than in the heart of the Bluegrass? Rolling hills, plank fences, and beautiful woodlands not far from the Kentucky River make for a perfect setting. Join us in the countryside outside Versailles for a grand day at the Life Adventure Center of the Bluegrass!
Merch • Kentucky Dirty merchandise will be available soon. Please check back later.
Sponsors • The Kentucky Dirty is brought to you by these excellent companies, organizations, and individuals. Check them out, give them some love (easy, Tiger…), and let them know you’re glad they helped make The Dirty happen!
Life Adventure Center • Life Adventure Center of the Bluegrass is an educational non-profit that uses hands-on learning in a natural setting. We plant seeds of growth in people’s lives. Everything we do embodies our belief that people learn best by doing. We are in the business of “changing lives”. Our facilities include a 575-acre working farm and the largest contiguous wooded area in Woodford County. The outdoors is our classroom and our teaching tools include and high and low ropes course; equestrian center; and our outdoor adventure program. Through our programming we serve a wide spectrum, including youth and adults, from the underserved youth to our corporate groups.
Homes For Our Troops • We are Homes for Our Troops, a national non-profit, non-partisan 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2004. We are strongly committed to helping those who have selflessly given to our country and have returned home with serious injuries since September 11, 2001. It is our duty and our honor to assist severely injured Veterans and their immediate families by raising donations of money, building materials and professional labor and to coordinate the process of building a home that provides maximum freedom of movement and the ability to live more independently.
Volunteer • It takes more than one person to make The Dirty happen and we could use your help! Would you and/or your organization, club, group of kickass friends like to help make The Kentucky Dirty awesome? We are looking for volunteers to help with everything from manning a water station to making sure participants make it through Hell-fer-Sartin
