Mahatma Gandhi, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and Pandit Jawarhlal Nehru have taught us the broad tenets of an economic system which, to all good-thinking children of India, must appear convincing. Mahatma Gandhi's life itself was a living commentary on socialist ethics. If many of us Indians had taken this to heart

  2. and lived up to it, many of the problems of India’s poverty, beggary and misery could have been solved without any violent revolution. Subhash Chandra Bose political philosophy is too well known. It is up to the young of our country to understand his mission and message,the meaning of his life ,struggle and martyrdom,and carry on the unfinished work of social justice and economic liberation to the working classes. Pandit Mehru’s ideology was such that he was acclaimed as an “international socialist” by the progressive forces inside and in God and humanity. Our first duty is towards our country and our people. We must serve the country to the best of all our ability and along the lines of truth which comes from God and His principles. The life given to us is a sacred trust from God, whoseeconomic justice we must struggle to bring down on earth; and make this world which has been turned miserable by man's greed, selfishness and wickedness into an abode of unity and peace. We have all the means necessary to achieve this end. outside India. We believe All that is needed is claim thinking, right planning, courage and enthusiasm to carry out the plan with utmost sincerity and earnestness. Our country’s position is not at all happy today. The youth of the country,true to the ideals laid down by our great heroes, and conscious of their duty and responsibility,cannot afford to be passive. They should come forward to give in their best,sacrifice their near and dear ones if necessary,and do service for their country’s progress and the relief of the citizens. The objectives of the Indian Youth Congress are laudable and well worth achieving. The students of high school who are about to complete their school career and are on the threshold of life, should study all these principles and train themselves to be useful citizens. Social work and the welfare of the country and their fellow citizens must be their most pressing task. Swami Vivekananda said, "One who renounces self becomes as powerful as the thunderbolt and with the irresistible strength boen of renunciation can work for the highest good of humanity."
