  4. Adjunct Faculty • MS or Terminal Degree in Related Field • Teach Online in both BSN and MSN programs • Chosen from a pool of candidates that meet base criteria of Academic preparation, teaching experience and skills to be successful in online education – weighted questionnaire

  5. Adjunct Faculty • Technology requirements met • Phone interview with Full-time faculty • Four week Online Ecollege training • Course approvals dependent upon experience

  6. PRE-COURSE SET UP • Faculty assigned & attached to course two weeks prior • Full time faculty schedule Web Ex conference with Calendar for the term outlining policies and procedures – Power Point slides and Teleconference

  7. PRE-COURSE SET UP • Full time faculty available by phone, fax and email • Course checks occur 1 week prior to courses beginning • Courses finalized for start date

ONLINE COURSE BEGINS • New faculty are evaluated weekly based upon a standard rubric – both numerical feedback in terms of % of expectations and written feedback • Evaluation is intended to mentor new faculty not only in course set up but online facilitation and student feedback in the grade book

  9. ONLINE COURSE BEGINS • Continuing faculty are evaluated every other week but courses are monitored weekly • Ongoing process, content & problem solving • Student issues resolved at faculty level, administration if necessary • Mid course teleconference for new and continuing faculty • Faculty group calls for course revision
