Why Material Still Matters In Cushions For Outdoor Furniture The cushions for outdoor furniture must be of such quality to resist the outdoor elements in addition to being capable of withstanding the normal tear and wear from being sat or lied upon. The punishment from the outside elements of extreme hot or cold conditions can only be resisted by the best quality materials. Before you even ask yourself how much it will cost you, think in terms of whether it can resist the outside elements. Resistance to water and ultra violet rays of the sun is also an important factor to consider.

Cotton Canvas is generally cheap but is not resistant to sun’s UV rays and is also not resistant to water unless treated. The other common materials namely PET, Acrylic Linen and PVC are resistant to both water and UV rays.
